Figure Drawing From OIC Experiment Day
15 minute sketch. Pencil on cartridge paper
Been almost a decade since i went back to figure drawing session.
Must admit i was a little bit rusty at first, proved to be really good practice.
Here's my take on the figure drawing, hope i don't have to wait long for another session.
Big thanks to Drewscape for organizing the event.

And from 5-7pm, we will be having a FIGURE DRAWING SESSION! Cost will be $60 divided among number of people who show up. Bring your own art materials whether it be your laptop, pastels, oil paints or canvas. Also bring your own snacks.
Location will be at 75 Jln Kelabu Asap at chip bee gardens (holland village, behind the POSB) It's a house with a garden with space to relax and draw. We can have dinner at the nearby hawker center.

Painter X is out
:)
art exhibition at MAAD in april
Artwork title:
Right now: I don’t need anything
I’ve Lost an Ocean depicts the loss of love, but more precisely, the loss of a friend. This series portray scenes from movies that depicted and dealt with similar issues of accepting drastic changes and growing from these experiences. Xin (as she is affectionately known as) chose to use red as the predominant colour throughout the works. Red is used as a color to show love and intimacy as well as guilt and denial. The choice of basic colours used also reflects the rawness and simplicity of human emotions caught in the midst of complex human relationships.
Exhibition will be held at red dot design museum (concurrently with MAAD) on April 7 & 8, 11am - 7pm.
We will be selling our Maki Squarepatch wares there too :) See you!

200 HUNDRED BOTTLES
200 beer bottles on the wall
200 beer bottles on the wall
take one done pass it around
199 beer bottles on the wall..." Altogether Now!
Had a wonderful time doing this recycling bottle painting project with Snatch Thieves' Daryl and Amanda. And 90% of the bottles were adopted by the end of the event!
Looking at the pictures, they actually did have a character on their own!
Recycling is good for the soul....
