Eating "You Tiao"

Here’s another comic illustration of myself eating a fritter. However, in this case, it is not entirely a fritter. This local delicacy is named “You Tiao” (in romanized Chinese). You may read the following cut n paste from Wikipedia:

“You tiao,[1] you char kway,[2] or yau ja gwai,[3] sometimes known in English as Chinese cruller fried bread stick or Chinese doughnut, is a long, golden-brown, deep fried strip of dough in Chinese cuisine and other East and Southeast Asian cuisines and is usually eaten for breakfast. Conventionally, youtiao are lightly salted and made so they can be torn lengthwise in two. Youtiao are normally eaten as an accompaniment for rice congee or soy milk.”

I love to eat it dipped in coffee for breakfast!!

Let me be the first to comment... I should have drawn the perspiration a little more irregular... LOL :P

I never really noticed the even perspiration as standing out much until you pointed it out heh... and even then, it still looks fine to me - I thought that it adds to the quirkiness of the illustration!

Nice job! really great to see you using so much more textures :) More! More! if u have the time, that is!

and uughs, you tiao is too oily for me!
