(Most) Everything I need, I can find in a 0.5 mechanical with 2B lead
- you want sharp, break the lead tip
- you want dark, "colour" hard
- you want soft, "colour" hard on spare paper till tip becomes blunt, then use
- you want interesting, try it with your other hand :p
And a handy mechanical eraser to hide evidence that you're not as ingenius as people think you are.
Cheat: Keep a tissue paper nearby to rub still life drawings so they look softer and not like they were done with a mechanical pencil.
