The Ferrom War Machine
Hello Fellow Creatives! It's been a while since I last posted. Been busy with new projects and moving to a new office space. The new place is actually the old Methodist Girls School at the top of Mount Sophia and conveniently called The Old School (http://www.oldschool.sg)
Anyway, this is a digital matte painting for a game my company is launching in November. Textures were taken from actual pictures of rocks and lava. Used lotsa photoshop effects, glows and tons of layers! My friend helped add the extra touches like the glow from the lava reflecting onto the rocks and stuff. The robot was a 3D model created by another friend. It was a fun experiment and took about 2-3 days to do.

Wow!!
1. The mechanical monster looks like a 3D job? or is it drawn? the edges looked very sharp.
2. Wah- the new office premise tenant list looks damn saik siah!!! Must have open house for OIC members to come look see hor :)
Congrats!! :)
looks like a very exciting game! All the best to the success of it :)
Open house must have free try out for game :p
More! More!
Haha! I trying to psycho boss to have open house too. Good way to get art students from nearby schools to come in or get list of contacts for creative outsources.
Will post pics of the creative dept!
the rocks seem a bit too green with all the red lava flowing below. And felt that the robot cld be more dramatic in the composition. But other than that, everything seems to work.
Nice! I like the overall feel. But i think u could afford to desaturate the rock behind the robo, the values are almost the same. And the rock to the right shld be higher contrast since its closer to the viewer than the other rocks. Hope it helps : D
:D Will take in all this comments and apply to future paintings if get a chance to do. Thanks!
