Time Out Illustration
Did this a couple of weeks ago for TimeOut Mag, just saw it in stores today. Thanks to Fleecircus for the referral:)

Wow its stunning. I like the whole feel and the colours. The woman in the forefront has a strange angle. But overall it still makes a nice cover.

Agree that the perspective is abit weird. Its the Esplanade's roof. I think it would work better if you pick an angle where you can't see the top of the roof.
Looks like alot of work for a Timeout cover- how long does it take?
Was it painted in Photoshop ?

I think since the emphasis is the foreground bikini lady- I will keep everything in the skyline ( including the Esplanade ) as flat "graphic" shapes with very slight perspective skewing.

tks guys! Its a photoshop piece with some pencils and very little wash, the timeline was about a week, which was comfortable. Yeah part of the challenge was to make it look hand painted. yep too bad abt the perspective though..
