This new book by James Jean is totally worth getting for anyone wanting to study layout, concepts and illustration techniques. Or if you just like looking at nice pictures. It features the amazing cover artworks he's done for the Fables comic series and also his behind-the-scenes sketches as well as alternative layouts. It's out at Kinokuniya now.

Just wondering if it says volume one on the cover? Cuz the series isn't over yet. The book collects covers 1-75 but fables is now at 78. I suspect they will release a later version with the complete series covers. Unless the series still has a long way to go...
But yea its an amazing collection! :D
Another thing to note is that it is possible they may release it as a more affordable softcover as they did with sandman covers. However this is a guess on my part as they didnt do that for the preacher series cover publication (it was only released in hardcover)
The book is selling at around $53 at kino now and I am sure there will be a 20% discount for kino real soon as it is the school holidays and not sure if a kino card entitles you to an extra 10% like the border card.So hang in there, people if you want to get it cheaper!

btw james jean has stopped doing fables covers. so this is all there is from him. But the series continues.
