Red cherry by the beach


Stating the obvious in pictorial form. Does text enhances a picture?

nice painting and textures. text can enhance the picture by stating something not in the picture. It can reveal that the person is hungry or sad or desperate.

But that might be "spoonfeeding" the reader, as you want the reader to intepret it for himself/herself. Like a picture book, an illustrator should not illustrate the text "wholesale" but provide an idea of how it might happen and let the user read the text and visualise or imagine the scenrio.
