Whoa, garang! Melikes! Would also be cool if you turn it into a t-shirt and I'd totally get it haha

The lion is kickass! I like it but..... the type spoils it imho.
The type would be better if styled to play well with the lion.
Now its chunky and crude and shouts louder than the very nice lion.

This is not for a school banner competition I hope.
Very nice that you should the sketches too!
thx :)

yea, i agree with mike. the font kinda breaks the flow of the lion. but the lion kicks serious ass. grrr...:)

pretty good school banner. thus i understand the vibrant colours. Think the lion head can be bigger in the composition. I like how you did the details for the lion.

yeah I think if the lion's bigger it would improve the hierarchy of visual flow. The colors are great.

Heya thks guys, good observation, i wish i could've made the head bigger too...

Ya cant help but feel i slightly trapped myself drawing the lion's head heh. When it came down to composing it, i found i couldn't enlarge it cuz had to see the shield it was coming out of (the concept is the school's logo, which is a lion's head in a shield, coming alive). Also, in the process, i began realising the focus had to shift more to the text for it to work as banner.

But i think ur suggestions have inspired me to rework this for personal use in another application ;)
