A visual I did for IDA some time back. I've added the initial pencils too. The final illustration was done by a 3-D company (Don't know the name so i can't credit them) based on my visuals. There were some changes in how the guy looked and the items that went into it. This is how the final looked.

great to see the sketch and the finished illsn.
always fun to look at the process.
lovely colors in this one.
:)
Cool! Any idea how the final 3D version turn out? Can post that?
Coooool!!!
honestly prefer your original version to the final version...I saw that version sometime back and it didn't catch my attention much...something about it didn't feel right to me...and now that I know that this version exists, I just wish this version was the one used...
Yeah sometimes the pencils are nice in themselves but they are rarely seen. I liked the original too. But being a government project, they made everything more "friendly" and less edgy so the general public could digest it better.
What a bummer- I hate projects like this- they should let u art direct more and have more say to keep the integrity of the original vibe.
Prefer the original.
Agreed, 3D has nothing on traditional illustration. Traditional still wins. I blame it on a sheep mentality - In recent years, there have been this general mentality in Singapore that 3D is the way to go..
anyhow, great job on the visual! You went pretty damn detailed on this! :)
Alamak...
the original version kicks serious behinds than the final one lah! Hmm.. but hey! not bad overall.
Your concept art speaks better than the 3D execution. Well done andrew!
The 3D guy's expression looked derange.. like he is in an asylum or strapped to an electric chair
hey, nice! how come i didnt get to see this on the streets? must take bus more. :p
