thx for posting this Sujata :)

Looks like alot of hard work involved.

The colours stands out better in the 2nd and 3rd panel.
The 1st one looks abit off in the colours. It could be the green- it looks very raw to me. Or is it just the scanning.

Any reason why the tea in the mug is not "level" in panel 3?

yes mike, because the text says she makes even "furniture from old packing crates bits of odd wood so her bed rocked.. and the dining table sloped so much that food often rolled right off! But this does not bother her" , the first panel is the first leaf before the storey starts with publication logo at bottom and title so its subdued but shows where she lives away from town and shops so makes most of the materials, herself. she is making jam from her gardens apples in teh second panel//
third is the opening page.

Hey the colour looks so much better now.
Looks good! :)

For the "rickety table" picture- its not obvious enough- needs more exaggeration maybe.

Nice work Sujata! Everything's so bright and cheery and it feels very Enid Blyton until you see that there's "Farida" on the mailbox and an indian lady heh and it gives it that southeast asian flavour to it. Love it!

I love the little details you put into it, i think my favourite part of this series is the tiny little picture frame in the first illustration! :D

nice work Sujata. Must take some effort and skill not to mess up drawings with purely natural media and with so many colours and details.
