Man & Friend

"Man & Friend"

i drew this for a friend who was kind enough to take in a senior dog with quite a sad story. somehow they hit it off and hav become quite close. :) printed in B1 size and hanging on the wall of his house now. the outlines were dark brown in the artwork but turned out black in the printout. Adobe Illustrator.

Nice theme.

Do u like how the lines turn out?? I mean the "details" on the lines. It looks like the image was blown up from a very small drawing.

What was your working file size?
Can you post the original flat image too? thx :)

i actually did work on an actual size (700x1000). it's vector, and the lines and their details turn out the way they should, except for the colour. i just put up the original one here... the lines were brown, which i prefer. for some reasons the digital print turn out dark.

Print always turns out darker for me usually. As a result dark colours (dark brown, dark blue etc) come out close to black. If u want colours to appear closer to your computer screen, maybe you can increase the brightness of the final print file by about 10% or so before sending to print.

Nice doggy heh, but the content is a little vanilla for me tho. I suppose it's becuz it's a personalized piece of work.

Maybe tune down the smoothing parameter of the pen/ pencil tool... dunno just guessing.

But FANTASTIC job you got there. I love the pink and the blue combination.

the colors do compliment each other well:D ,something though, the wraparound link under the dog's mouth looks a little like its salivating. and the space around them could be tighter i feel.
