storyboards

Storyboard visuals I did for a client a couple months back. The style was different from my usual drawing style but it was interesting and enjoyable to do. Pencils on paper first, then scanned and "inked" in photoshop. I guess reading Powers also helped me get used to the film noir kind of look.

personally this has a more expressive brush feel of Darwyn Cooke.. I felt Powers was stiffer, but more noir..

you need to do a comic story in this style! These are fantastic :)

Actually, u can google Jim Steranko, I feel he pioneered that stark comic look :D

Very nicely done. Loose enough too. some muted colors to accent it here and there would be nice too i think.

Thanks. the man is supposed to look like Adrien Brody and they wanted it in black and white only. That's how they will film it. Powers is more angular and stylised, but this was supposed to be more realistic so I had to use more curves. It's fun figuring out how to place the whites in contrast to the blacks. And hopefully it goes to show that doing storyboards can be pretty fun.
