That is also 1 of my favourite scene- with him riding the elephant. The surreal elephant scene is very "Windsor McKay's - Little Nemo"-ish ( http://www.coconino-world.com/sites_auteurs/winsor/ )
And what they translate as "beeee happyyyyy!" sounds like 安心! 安心 in Chinese....
Really glad I caught this show on a BIG screen- sooooooo much details to see and the colours and lighting is damn solid.
The animated movie is a tad slow at picking up, but the great use of Asian art through out its conceptual sets was simply mind boggling. Details details details... contrasting vibrant colours were applied and turn out complimenting in a surprising way. Hope OIC will have another animation day soon!
And may i suggest this year "MUST HAVE" fashion accessory? A toilet paper dispenser belt!
Welcome welcome! I thot the movie was slow at some parts. But i like how real the characters were in their personalities. They had depth. And i think that makes all the hard work that went into the animation worthwhile. Also like how they use visual metaphors. They jump as though flying. It's a combination of what they are feeling and reality. that's interesting.
