OIC's modus operandi if you don't know already- Everyone gets 15 minutes to draw the same customer at the same time. You get $8 for each drawing sold . Make it colourful, all skill levels welcomed. Hi Bella, thx for signing up :).
About the CA folks- I didn't know that alot of them didn't post drawings until last session after we have upsetted afew of our posers because of such behaviour.
Imagine you spent 20 minutes posing in front of 16 artists and only see 7-8 drawings in return!!! Our event works only because of volunteer seater/posers and artist showing their work and is available for sale. If every artist adopt this new behaviour- I don't think its fair and we will have trouble getting anyone to pose for us in future.
So please DON'T sign up if you cannot play by this simple fair rule.

I agree with mindflyer. If you are signing up, you do have to put your work up for sale after drawing. The portrait teams are divided by number of artist drawing each customer so we need everyone's cooperation on this. For doodlers, they would have to sit apart from the portrait stall.
oh btw, it is quite unnerving sitting in front of so many people who stare intensely at you, talk among themselves and draw furiously into their books. I sat to be drawn before, and it's not the most relaxing thing to do :P
To keep people coming to portrait day and leaving as happy customers, let's just show them our appreciation by letting them see our work, and let them buy it in exchange for the effort they put in.
And don't shy-shy lah and keep the good stuff to yourself! :) Share your work, spread the good vibes and let's learn from each other! :)
Thanks San And Drew for chipping in :)- I just want to add tht I disagree with doodlers hanging around when they are not going to contribute in kind.
I have to give priority to those who support us / sign & pay up - make sure there are enough seats and have good angles etc. Unofficial doodlers at the side are not welcome to be fair to official supporters.

perhaps you can also state in the post also that seats are strictly given to those participating in the sale+display of their work? prior to that rent have to be collected.
