o brave one ((Attention all OIC people!! ))

Receiving invitations to work together on stuff is really exciting, and can be alot of fun.
But recently have got an offer to sell my work with full rights like this. My image will appear on the product. For very product sold- I get 10% royalty. But I do not get any money until the product is shipped/sold. Sounds like a bad deal to me esp if these people are strangers and I am expected to give up full rights in such a "speculative" manner. ( i'm sure many of you got "that kind" of deal before ;p, please resist and don't sell cheap ok? Your work is worth something)

Thought maybe you guys would find this link timely:

Good post Adeline!! I think we always get calls like this- must be careful.

Thanks for the warning!! :)
Hope more people here will share insights and lessons more freely. We all need to learn and heed one another.

Thx Zero for sharing.

The gist of Zero's lesson is- "READ THE LEGALESE" or get someone you trust to check for you just in case. What is verbally agreed or promised can be "DIFFERENT" from the "PROMISED" contract- but what is binding is what you sign!
